Beechwood + Sisal Fiber Kitchen Dish Brush
Swap plastic dish brushes in the kitchen with our compostable beechwood and sisal fiber dish brush. The head is removable and replaceable. Bundle with refill heads to save! Our kitchen brush has a beechwood handle with sisal fiber (agave plant) bristles. Minimally fastened together with a metal wire & metal loop to hang to dry.
Care Instructions: Hang to dry in between uses, on a dry towel or elevated to allow bristles to drain. Never leave submerged in water as it will wear on the wood causing it to crack or may cause the natural bristles to fall out. Heads last about 6 months, and handles last 1-2 years depending on use. Wood is naturally antimicrobial, but if you need to clean your brushes, clean bristles with vinegar to kill bacteria. Wood will naturally patina with exposure to water and age- it is normal and not mold.
Brushes and refill heads come with the option to be coated or uncoated depending on your preference. Coated has a natural plant varnish, uncoated is natural beechwood only- no varnish. We recommend our wood wax for our uncoated to increase longevity.
Brush Head Replacement: Pinch the wires together near the head of the brush and slide the small circular metal piece down to remove old brush head- you may need pliers the first time you change it. Slide a new brush head on and slide the metal piece back to its original position to hold it tight. Refill heads have the option of coming coated with a natural plant varnish to reduce cracking or naturally uncoated.

How to Dispose: Heads can be demoted to household cleaning then home composted. Metal parts can be scrap metal recycled.
