Swap out your plastic toothpaste tube for our foaming mint toothpowder. With simple no-nonsense ingredients for minty-fresh breath and sparkling clean teeth but without the plastic waste.
Packaging: Kraft paper cardboard tube and sealed with a paper label. Open with care!
How to use: Wet toothbrush bristles and dip slightly into tub- a little goes a long way. Brush and rinse as normal. Plastic-free and great for travel too! Store in the cardboard tube or transfer to a repurposed glass container for travel.
Size: 1 oz. container lasts about 60 uses/30 days and 4 oz. is our bulk option.
Ingredients: Calcium bentonite clay, magnesium hydroxide, birch xylitol, sodium bicarbonate, sodium cocoyl isethionate, organic peppermint essential oil, and organic spearmint oil.
Avoid common additives like fluoride, triclosan, parabens, sulphates, preservatives, artificial colors, and BPA.

More about the ingredients: The toothpowder itself has not undergone studies in order to make any medical claims in regards to prevention of tooth decay or gum disease, but the specific ingredients have been involved in studies as outlined below.
Food Grade Calcium Bentonite Clay - a mildly abrasive clay that forms naturally from volcanic ash, which has trace minerals such as calcium, iron, copper, and zinc. Bentonite clay has a high cation exchange capacity, meaning that it has a negative charge which can attract positively charged ions. Studies have shown that it may lower the amount of certain toxins in the body. The calcium bentonite clay in the tooth powder is food grade, ensuring that it is absent of heavy metals and is safe for human consumption.
Magnesium Hydroxide - a food grade antacid. In the tooth powder it is used to neutralize acids in your mouth, which has been shown to promote healthy gums and teeth. Additionally it creates a creamy texture in your mouth, helping the tooth powder to feel more like a traditional toothpaste.
Birch Xylitol - a food grade, natural sweetener derived from non gmo birch. In the tooth powder it is intended to naturally sweeten the taste of the tooth powder. Birch xylitol has also been shown to reduce tooth decay and gum disease.
Sodium Bicarbonate - aka Baking Soda. In the tooth powder it is intended to neutralize acid in your mouth and assist with brushing away food particles.
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate - a natural mild foaming agent derived from coconut oil. It is arguably the most mild and safest foaming agent available, and is often found in other natural toothpastes including baby toothpaste. In the tooth powder it makes up less than 5% of the recipe, but gives the powder that traditional toothpaste feel and aids in cleaning your mouth and teeth.
Organic Peppermint Essential Oil & Organic Spearmint Essential Oil- These essential oils are included in the tooth powder for a natural minty flavor. Some dentists believe that the oral use of these essential oils (in correct proportion) help promote healthy mouth bacteria.
