This kitchen brush is uncoated beechwood and has zero added protection from water damage. We advise you to wax or oil this brush and refill head.

Care Instructions: Hang to dry in between uses, on a dry towel or elevated to allow bristles to drain. Never leave submerged in water as it will wear on the wood causing it to crack or may cause the natural bristles to fall out. Heads last about 6 months, and handles last 1-2 years depending on use. Wood is naturally antimicrobial, but if you need to clean your brushes, clean bristles with vinegar to kill bacteria. Wood will naturally patina with exposure to water and age- it is normal and not mold.

Brush Head Replacement: Pinch the wires together near the head of the brush and slide the small circular metal piece down to remove old brush head- you may need pliers the first time you change it. Slide a new brush head on and slide the metal piece back to its original position to hold it tight. Looking for replacement heads only? Get them here.
