They have medium/soft bristles made from castor bean oil and blended with charcoal. Bamboo is naturally antimicrobial and a fast-growing renewable resource.

Includes: Four refill heads in kraft paper boxes or purchase a Tester, which is one single replacement head.

Compatibility: These refill heads fit most "click-on" Philips Sonicare electric toothbrushes including all 9-series models. They will not fit specialty models, screw on models, Oral-B, etc. Not sure if it will fit? Buy one tester head to start!

Recommended: Dentists recommend to change your toothbrush head every 3 months.

Bio-Based Bristles: Made from castor oil and infused with charcoal, these bristles are biodegradable.

Insert on the bottom is made from cornstarch PLA and is required for the metal to fit and vibrate effectively.

Doesn't clean very well

The wood absorbs a lot of the vibration preventing the head from doing its job. We both immediately commented it fdisbt feel like it was actually cleaning and our teeth didn't feel smooth after like with the original sonicare diamond head.

The feel of the bamboo in my mouth is a serious sensory ick and there are too many bristles that were chewing away at my gums.

Thanks for giving our small business a try! Bamboo does have a bit of a texture that takes some getting used to if you've never used it before. I personally use these toothbrushes and have for years with my Sonicare. We’re fully committed to offering sustainable alternatives, and bamboo is an excellent natural material that avoids the environmental challenges posed by plastic. Not to mention, the microplastics that shed and are ingested with each brush of a plastic toothbrush. We hope you’ll consider giving it a bit more time, as many of our customers find they adjust.

Best toothbrush head

Replaced my plastic sharp-bristled toothbrush head with this one. The new head fits perfectly and the brushes are so much better, they don't ‘stab’ my gums. Very happy I found these.

I really wanted to love these!

When I saw these I was like, finally, a toothbrush head that I can feel less guilty about! And heck, they're pretty too. I am all for moving away from plastic and am even willing to spend a little more to do so, so the price point for these is amazing. ME Mother Earth sent out the product really quickly and I received it soon after.

These are really soft brush heads. I've always used the softest toothbrushes and I know that you don't need a firm toothbrush to scour the surface of the tooth, and that it can even be damaging to the enamel if you brush too hard or with something too stiff. These, however, left my teeth with that dirty, sweater-like feeling, even right after brushing, and eventually I noticed that my teeth were yellowing a bit. Also, something about the wood was really unpleasant in my mouth. It was almost drying and activated my gag reflex.

I could make myself get used to this aspect if the brush heads worked. I ended up switching back to the Philips brand heads after a month of using these, which I'm sad about.
