Quick-Dry Geometric Diatomite Soap Dishes
These soap dishes are cut from diatomite, a soft sedimentary stone formed from fossilized algae and one of the most abundant minerals on earth. The porous surface pulls moisture off your bar and releases it in seconds, so the soap sits on a dry dish rather than in a puddle. Care Instructions: For everyday cleaning, rinse with water and scrub the soap scum off with a scrub brush. For a deeper clean, soak the dish with a little vinegar and baking soda, let it dry in the sun with the baking soda still on, then wipe clean. To renew the whole surface, sand a thin layer off the top with fine grit sandpaper to refresh absorbency. Please note: Wet sand only. Keep the dish and sandpaper wet the whole time. Avoid breathing the dust.
